Hadley is a co-founder and General Partner at Eniac Ventures, where his investment areas include AI (application and tooling layers), data/dev tooling, SaaS, and healthcare. He also takes the lead on developing the firm’s long-term strategy.
Before becoming a VC himself, Hadley built two successful, VC-backed startups. He joined Vlingo in 2007, working with talented AI founders out of MIT to manage aspects of the business across product, strategy, and marketing, until the company was sold to Nuance for $225M. He then became Chief Business Officer at Thumb, a real-time recommendation app that reached user engagement levels second only to Facebook and was ultimately acquired by YPulse.
He began his career as a developer and engineering team lead at Pegasystems, later taking on roles as a product manager at Microsoft and strategist at Samsung (where he realized that big company life isn’t for him).
Hadley grew up in downtown Boston, where he started his first company Beantown Odd Jobs at the age of 13 (ask him about the marketing campaign that involved fake parking tickets!). He now lives in New York City with his wife and sons, and outside the office, he enjoys yoga, meditation, mixing music, and beating Nihal in tennis.
Hadley is passionate about improving the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, a passion stemming from his close relationship with his brother Traves. He is a Board Director for Cardinal Cushing Centers, which serves adults and children with intellectual disabilities across 4 campuses.
He’s still paying off student loans for his MBA from Wharton and bachelors in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

At Eniac, we call Nihal the human Rolodex, thanks to the thousands of connections he has made with some of the world’s top companies and brands. He developed many of these connections (and scar tissue!) over the past 20+ years while founding five startups: Philly2nite -> UrbanGroove -> Chapter 7 bankruptcy; ipsh! -> acquired by Omnicom (NYSE: OMC); buzzd -> LocalResponse -> acquired by BlueCava.
Early in his career, Nihal honed his ability to spot top entrepreneurial talent by investing in Admob (acquired by Google), Swiftkey (acquired by Microsoft), Tapad (acquired by Telenor), Tala, and Uber, to name a few. Nihal and his wife are now angel investors and LPs in almost 100 underrepresented founders and fund managers.
Nihal is a co-founder of the non-profit “Project Ahimsa,” providing scholarships to disadvantaged youth in India, where his parents immigrated from in the early 1970s. Nihal also recently co-founded initiatives like Help Main Street to help restaurants survive the pandemic, and The 100k Pledge, a social justice tracker of economic empowerment to Black communities. You might catch him running down the Hudson River weekday mornings with founders and his #pitchandrun crew.
Outside of the office Nihal loves to spend time with his wife Reshma and is a big supporter of her non-profit Girls Who Code and her initiative “Moms First.” Around town, you will usually see him with his sons Shaan and Sai and beagle-bulldog Stanley. Nihal is the life of the party, which is why he always spearheads Eniac events.
Nihal graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Philosophy and a BSE in Computer Science.

Tim Young is a Founding General Partner at Eniac Ventures with two exits as an entrepreneur and over 20 years of experience advising and investing in 100+ early stage startups. Tim has been fascinated by technology since his mother taught him to code in Fortran at the age of 10. He went on to study engineering and become a patent attorney and tech entrepreneur.
In addition to his work as a VC, Tim is an adjunct professor at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa’s William S. Richardson School of Law, and he’s passionate about helping to grow the region’s tech sector. He’s also worked as a public defender in Anchorage, Alaska, where he often fought to protect the rights of the indigenous population.
Prior to co-founding Eniac in 2009, Tim founded Bridge, an enterprise software company focusing on corporate training in Beijing, China, which he led to an 8-figure exit. Prior to Bridge, Tim led product at Quoteship, a B2B marketplace for logistics, which exited to Logistics.com (NASD: ICGE). Tim also spent time coding at ExxonMobil, managing product at BAE Systems, and advising startups on Patent and other IP issues at MoFo.
During downtime, you can find Tim exploring the mountains and oceans — he’s an avid surfer and sailor. Tim is also passionate about combating climate change and sits on the board of the Institute for Energy & Climate Strategies (IECS).
Tim received his BSE in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where he received an award for cancer research from Bristol-Myers Squibb. He also received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Tim is a member of the State Bar of California and is a US Patent and Trademark Office registered attorney.

Sofia is an investor working with our co-founder Nihal Mehta. She works with Nihal on a variety of tasks, but is particularly focused on building out the Eniac network.
Sofia comes from a family of entrepreneurs. It’s even something she studied at the University of Richmond — along with her B.A. in Rhetoric and Communication Studies, she minored in Entrepreneurship and Journalism. Her experience wasn’t limited to the classroom, either: While in school, Sofia also started a successful quesadilla-making business that quickly cornered the market on feeding hungry college students.
Alongside her passion for entrepreneurship, Sofia cares deeply about social impact — her long-term career goal is advancing equity across the funding landscape. She was able to bring both interests together through her work at IFundWomen, an organization connecting women entrepreneurs to funding. While there, Sofia has done everything from streamlining operations to producing the IFundWomen Show podcast, serving most recently as strategic business operations lead.
She lives in Soho. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, photography, painting, and spending time with her dog Brady.

Owen is an investor working with our co-founder Tim Young.
He grew up near New York City in the town of Hastings-on-Hudson. At 14, Owen launched his own online business focused on collectibles and postage stamps, then moved on to another business wholesaling designer clothing.
His focus shifted to finance at Baruch College. He eventually became CEO of Baruch’s Investment Management Group (an undergraduate collective that currently manages a $1 million stock portfolio) while also obtaining his BBA in finance. After graduating, Owen worked at J.P. Morgan as an investment banking analyst.
He says that working at Eniac represents the convergence of all those experiences — his early entrepreneurial efforts, his interest in investing, and the transformation he saw at J.P. Morgan as the banking industry has become increasingly disrupted and unbundled by VC-backed fintechs.
Outside of work, Owen’s big passions are classic movies (especially the films of Martin Scorsese and Stanley Kubrick) and music (from Glenn Gould to Glenn Miller).

Stan loved coming to work at Eniac at every office whenever she could, since the end of 2010. Stan was by our side since Nihal's first NYC startup buzzd, to all our offices in between, San Francisco and even cheering team members on at conferences. She loved barking loudly at founders who spend too much capital pre product-market-fit whenever she could. She appreciated all the love everyone gave her and lived way past her expiration date with fancy vacations and fancy meals. We learned to love bolder and brighter and with less conditions because of her.
