Bill Trainor

Bill is a co-founder of both Mutual Capital Partners and Access Ventures Fund (2000). He leads the software practice for Mutual Capital Partners and has been an active angel investor since 1997. Until starting both venture funds, Bill was Senior Vice President-Head of E-Commerce Investment Banking at McDonald Investments, an investment bank acquired by Key Corp. At McDonald Investments, he focused on consumer, retail, healthcare, and service companies working closely with companies that were using technology to expand and complement their existing business structure. Bill joined McDonald Investments in 1994 after graduating from Columbia University with an A.B. in Political Science.

Wayne Wallace

Wayne is a co-founder of Mutual Capital Partners and leads the firm’s medical device investing practice. Wayne’s exits in medical technology include Cleveland Heartlab (Sold to NYSE: DGX), TGX Medical (Sold to NASDAQ: IART), and OrthoHelix Surgical Designs (Sold to NASDAQ: TRNX). While Wayne was on the OrthoHelix board the company’s revenue grew over 8,000% and the exit generated more than a 5x cash on cash return. Wayne currently sits on the board of multiple venture backed medical device companies.

Wayne holds a B.S. in in Business Administration with a specialty in Finance from The Ohio State University and was named One of Northeast Ohio's Leading Young Executives. He serves as Immediate Past Chairman on the Lakewood Catholic Academy board of directors and resides in Lakewood, OH with his wife Kristen and 3 children.

Liz Todia

Liz Todia, Principal, is a graduate of the University of Dayton where she received a B.S. in Entrepreneurship and Finance with honors. Prior to joining MCP, she spent two years managing the Flyer Angels Fund, a $1 million seed investment fund investing in early stage, Ohio-based technology companies. Liz's responsibilities at MCP include deal flow sourcing, due diligence, portfolio company support and investor relations. She currently serves as Executive Co-Chair of VentureNext , a professional peer group of rising venture capitalists that represents over 220 funds and over $40B AUM. Additionally, she serves on the non-profit board of the Pennsylvania Venture Capital Association , and is on the selection committee for the Medtech Launch Fund , and the West Side Catholic Center Associate Board.

Will Brune

Will Brune, Analyst, is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University where he received a M.S. in Finance and a B.S. in Finance and Economics with honors. During his time at Case, he was a fellow for the Alumni Venture Fund and a leader of the Northeast Ohio Student Venture Fund. Previously, Will served as an intern for the Ohio Innovation Fund and Interstate Fusion Ventures, and was a summer analyst for Advantage Capital. His responsibilities at MCP include due diligence, deal flow management, sourcing, and portfolio company support.
