                  Great companies aren’t born, they’re made.

                  Operating under the belief that execution solves all problems, XYZ is a venture firm that invests in early-stage founders to help them go faster. We aim to support entrepreneurs in building enduring companies in fintech, enterprise and tech-forgotten industries such as insurance and the public sector. We primarily back talented founders at the earliest stages of company building — people who have discovered a key insight and have an unfair advantage from “doing the work” or based on their own lived experience.

                  XYZ is named for founder Ross Fubini’s great Grandfather Guido Fubini who was a leading mathematician working with Albert Einstein. It’s a nod to the math that drives technological innovation. Concepts like position, velocity, and acceleration are as critical to startup founders as they are to mathematical proofs. We believe that building a business is an equally complex endeavor with a number of variables working in relation to each other. We specialize in helping our companies determine what to build and with whom, ascertain who their initial customers are and why, and connect them with the best people to raise subsequent funding to go faster.

                  Position

                  In order to build an enduring business, it matters where you start and who you start with. We are a team with deep domain expertise who can help you go faster. Even before we are on the cap table, we get to work. Whether that’s identifying the key talent you need to bring an idea to market or doing customer development, we become an extension of your team.

                  We know that the trajectory of success is not all up and to the right. Speed needs direction, a product needs a precise go-to-market strategy. Targeting use cases, distribution channels, and initial customer profiles are just some of the ways we can help you get on an upward trajectory.                   Capital has become a commodity in venture, you need more than just capital to reach your full potential. Rounds and valuations have grown, and with them, so have expectations for later stage investors. The learning curve between Seed and Series A is much steeper.
